Wong’s innovative dishes are a direct reflection of the diversified cultures in the islands. A rich mixture of traditions and lifestyles, he marries fresh, local ingredients with a solid French cooking foundation and spectacular, towering presentations. His flagship restaurant, Alan Wong’s in Honolulu, is a six-time winner of “Restaurant of the Year.” To complement Chef Wong’s distinct flavor, we welcome Dr. Ernst Loosen of Dr. Loosen Estate from Germany’s Mosel Valley and the spectacular Rieslings that he produces. In 1989, he won “Riesling of the Year,” in 2001, Gault- Millau named Ernst Loosen German Winemaker of the Year, and in 2005, Ernst Loosen was selected as Decanter’s “Man of the Year.” Join us to learn why Riesling is perhaps the most noble of all white grapes in the world — not sweet only!
